Proudly hosted and managed by Food South Australia, the annual awards program has been instrumental in celebrating excellence in South Australia’s food and beverage manufacturing industry for over 25 years.
The awards are an opportunity for our state’s established and emerging food and beverage businesses and brands to be recognised for the work that they do, and to set a benchmark for success in the industry. 2024's program encourages participation from the entire food value chain, from paddock to plate, and reflects the topics of greatest importance and concern faced by businesses today, including mental health & wellbeing as well as ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance).
Participation in the awards gives South Australian food and beverage businesses, industry service providers, primary producers and hospitality venues the chance to be aligned with a distinguished list of past award recipients and inductees. Winners and finalists are able to use the awards as a powerful recommendation for their business, a chance to develop their sales networks, increase their brand and business profile, evaluate their goals and benchmark their business against the industry's best.

The South Australian Premier's Food and Beverage Industry Awards first came into being in the late 1990's, as a group of different awards for different primary industry sectors including agriculture, horticulture and fibre. Over the years, award categories have been refined and refreshed and new categories added, to recognise the outstanding contributions to the industry and to South Australia.
Through the connections built by this awards program, our state's reputation for quality, innovation and excellence continues to grow as businesses workj together and set new benchmarks for the industry as a whole.
Food South Australia has fostered the growth of the program every year, culminating inthe Gala Dinner each November, which is now widely recognised as the largest event on the industry's annual calendar.
