Food South Australia is once again host of this prestigious evening, with the support of the Government of South Australia which will be held on Friday 21 November 2014 in the William Magarey Room at Adelaide Oval.
This year we are showcasing the best of South Australia’s food industry with the winning edge – the State of Champions, and we will reward high performance and celebrate individuals and businesses that demonstrate outstanding vision, leadership and innovation.
The Adelaide Oval will present a menu highlighting the delicious food products from this year’s finalists, and the evening will finish with dancing to a live band at South Australian food industry’s night of nights.
Our Master of Ceremonies and Captain will be iconic sporting legend and commentator, H.G. Nelson, so the game is on! Renowned for his fitness levels and rugby, punting, V8 super car and boxing prowess, H.G. Nelson is the leading expert on Australian sport. With his colleague, Rampaging Roy Slaven, he has presented the long running This Sporting Life on Triple J and the hugely successful Olympic broadcasts The Dream, The Ice Dream, and The Dream in Athens, and television hits including It’s a Knockout and Club Buggery.
H.G. also edited the best-selling book The Really Stuffed Guide to Good Food 2006 so he will give us a spray of wisdom about his views on the State of Champions and tell us how to play the food game.
